Chloe Aligianni is a choreographer and multidisciplinary artist whose practice centers on dance and
movement. Based in Athens, Greece, she studied Fine Arts and Choreography (Trinity Laban
Conservatoire of Music and Dance) in London, where she worked until 2020. During her time in the
UK, she was a supported artist of the Studio Wayne McGregor FreeSpace Programme and
Chisenhale Dance Space, and a member of the Royal Academy of Dance’s Step Into Dance
teaching team. Her choreographic work was supported by Arts Council England, Trinity Laban
Conservatoire, The Place, Hillingdon Council, and Blue Elephant Theatre, among others. She was
also Associate Artist at the University of Leicester (Maths Meets Arts) and movement directed for
theatre and visual art projects for artists including Jenny Buckman, Tania Azevedo, and Alicia Paz.
She was part of Gary Clarke’s (DV8) inaugural LUSTRUM project in London and has trained with
David Zambrano in Flying Low and Passing Through techniques. Upon returning to Greece, she
founded performing arts company Third Planet, through which she produces artistic and educational
projects that explore movement’s synergy with other art forms, sciences, and community contexts.
The company has been supported by the Greek Ministry of Culture, the Greek National Opera, the
Municipality of Athens, and various local and private organizations. Alongside her choreographic
work, she movement directs for theatre, undertakes artistic direction and curation for creative
initiatives, and occasionally creates sound and music for dance.
